I'm a graduate student studying philosophy at Merton College in the University of Oxford. I did my BA in philosophy at Cambridge (where I was also president of the University Atheist and Agnostic Society, which was an interesting experience...) and before that worked for a while at the African Books Collective.
I have two websites, although the second is really a website-within-a-website. Big Issue Ground is a directory of essays on 'big issues' like politics, religion, philosophy, history, science and the future, some of them my own contributions. Atheist Ground is a website dedicated to promoting and explaining positive atheism, as described above. I'm an evangelical atheist, as I feel that reason is a better method with which to understand the universe than sectarian faith, and that humanism provides a better grounding for ethics than fearing God.
If you want to contact me, perhaps to respond to one of my essays, or to give general feedback on the website, use the Feedback page. Remember, many of the essays on this site are not my work and so may not reflect my views; feedback on these should go to their respective authors (if they have given me permission to provide their e-mail address at the bottom of their essays). However, if you think any essay on this site has clear factual errors or is poorly formatted or otherwise of low quality, please let me know. I struggle to keep the quality of Big Issue Ground as consistently high as possible, but I'm sure there's room for improvement (there always is).
